Week 9- New Cycles, Bigger Circles

This was a good week.

I can’t share specifics (privacy and all), but I had the deep joy of giving some kids an experience that meant a lot to me growing up—something my parents shared with me. These weren’t my kids, which is exactly what made it feel so meaningful.

It’s natural to pass things down to your own children. In fact, it’s kind of the default setting. But when you offer something special to kids outside your own family—especially those who might not have access to it otherwise—you’re not just keeping traditions alive. You’re starting something new.

That’s not breaking cycles. That’s creating them. And that feels… quietly powerful.

So here’s my gentle nudge to you (and to myself): Love your people, but think bigger. The world doesn’t shift by staying in our lane.

Also—speaking of passing things on—I’ve become slightly addicted to custom GPTs. I’ve got one to help me memorize stuff, one that elevates conversations, and basically, if there’s anything I want to work on, I can summon a GPT with the voice of a wise, witty friend. Which is both incredible... and possibly the start of another cycle I’m enthusiastically not breaking. :)
